AIDS is the plague of our times. It is one of the most famous diseases without a cure up to this day. And even though AIDS victims have much easier lives nowadays with the development of new drugs, it is very difficult to predict when and if a real cure will be found. That’s why it is still very important for everyone to remember that once you get AIDS there is no getting rid of it for good. The goal for all of us is to stay healthy and be careful in everything we do. So let us revise a little bit the AIDS dos and don’ts. First of all, AIDS doesn’t spread through physical contact such as a handshake, or an embrace. It mainly spreads thought sexual contact, contamination through blood, as well as from infected mother to her child. If possible HIV positive mothers should not breastfeed their children but they can feed other children and use a wet-nurse for their own. One of the most important things is to educate people about AIDS and health, to make people with the disease more comfortable in our society. If we are respective to the ones we love, if we are careful, educated and focused on staying healthy we can slow down the epidemic and eventually stop it.
